"Our guide Sam told us that one of Buddha’s principles is: ‘If today is good, then tomorrow, the past will be good too.’ Wow! With this positive mindset, we enjoyed our trip even more."

Travel TV - Thailand Highlights

Why did I choose Thailand?

Honestly, until last summer, Thailand wasn’t on my bucket list. All the stories about sex tourism had always put me off. But let’s be real—Majorca isn’t just about Ballermann either!

Then, last July, I had the incredible chance to meet Arkanae from the Thai Tourist Board in Paris. His contagious enthusiasm for his country, his smile, and his heartfelt recommendations left us no choice: we had to go to Thailand!

And so we did. We quickly booked our flights for the Christmas holidays, and thanks to Arkanae, as well as Anabela and Jorge (Diaries’ Of), our itinerary came together in no time.

Join us as we explore the highlights of our trip!

„One night in Bangkok“

Even though we’re not big fans of huge cities, Bangkok is a place you simply have to see. The mix of street food, stunning temples, the Grand Palace, and thousands of tuk-tuks is just overwhelming!

A boat tour is an absolute must, and Klong Bang Luang is definitely worth a visit. That’s where we let our creativity run free and made our own bracelets 😊.

Tuk-tuks make it easy to hop from one market to another. And food? You can find it everywhere and at almost any time of the day!

Another highlight of our itinerary: a traditional Thai massage. After a long journey, it felt absolutely amazing!

Heading North!

In Chiang Rai, you’ll find the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). You’ve probably seen it in pictures before, but trust me—when you’re standing in front of it, it’s absolutely breathtaking! You just can’t help but be amazed by the masterpiece created by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat.

The temple welcomed its first visitors in 1997, and since then, it has become a must-see on any trip to Thailand. If you step inside, take the time to admire every detail of the murals—they are truly mesmerizing!

A must-see: the Pai Canyon!

Next stop: another wow moment, the Pai Canyon!

Tucked away in the Mae Hong Son province, this breathtaking natural wonder is worth the detour. The colors are absolutely stunning!

Make sure to wear good shoes and take your time exploring the narrow trails. The best part? We were almost alone there, this place is still a hidden gem!

Don't miss out Ban Rak Thai!

At the Myanmar border, in northwest Thailand, a narrow one-way road leads to the charming village of Ban Rak Thai.

Founded in 1949 by a group of Chinese immigrants who fled Yunnan after the revolution, this village has kept its authentic charm. Even today, it feels like stepping into a small Chinese village.

In the early morning, a mystical mist rises over the lake, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Early risers can enjoy this magical moment on a boat tour… or simply from their balcony, like we did 😊.

We were lucky enough to spend Christmas Eve there, savoring a Chinese fondue by the water. A truly unforgettable experience!
